5 Things to Be Thankful for this Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have decided to take a little break from my family and eating in order to bring you the 5 things I’m thankful for from this past year that relate to internet marketing.

1. Bing With Google’s domination of the search market for the past 5 years or so I am thankful that Microsoft has created another competitor in the market. PPC costs were soaring and companies litterally could live or die by the Google bylaws before. A simple blacklist from Google used to be (and currently still is) a death sentence for your online business. Bing can change the face of the marketing world. Pray people.
2. Tablets/eBook Readers. Tablets and ebook readers have given us in the internet marketing world the ability to reach more people, in a more in depth way, with more meaningful content. I am in the midst of completeing my first ebook which will be ready for publishing in just a few more weeks!
3. Google Analytics Updates Google Analytics has always been a useful tool for improving our websites. With the beta’s of on-site analytics and the rest of the GA package, we have more tools at our disposal.
4. Facebook Check-in With the new Facebook check-in feature it gives businesses the opportunity to bring the online world together with the real world. Companies now have the opportunity to have their visitors advertise their locations for free.
5. My wife For those of you who don’t know I recently got married to my beautiful wife Rachel. In fact tonight is our 2 month marriage anniversary. She should really be at number one on this list, but in the interest of keeping this mostly professional, she’ll have to settle for 5. Love you beautiful.
