It's not just Mac users that will be disappointed. If you don't mind buying another brand new, fully loaded maxed out in ram PC, just to use this lame camera, go for it. The proprietary software that comes with this 'designed without the user in mind' device is utterly useless. It makes windows movie maker seem like FCP!

How Canon botched it on this many levels amazes me. I have edited video and used just about every format since 1990. Never before has there been a camera less user friendly. I have an IQ in the 140 range and I was boggled at how poorly the menus and usability was not thought through on any level. Great camera if you want to edit in camera, and simply watch the video one time on your wide screen, then delete it. Forget ANY editing with this over priced digital paperweight. Go with a flip cam instead.

Well - I hoping that Bing succeeds because it's good for competition. I actually think that Google has a great business model. Also, Google has no control over what the manufacturer's of the phone charge - they just control the operating system behind the phone. If Samsung wants to charge $1000 for their Android phone - Google has no control over that. Also, this is not really a PC world anymore - the entire market is going mobile. Microsoft stopped innovating years ago - they are a factor simply because of market share. Other than that - they are irrelevant.

I agree with you and I am sick of Google. I enjoy using Bing and it is a very good search engine. Everyone likes to say how Google's business tactics are so much better than Microsoft. That Google is not evil. Well if money is the root of all evil, Google is just as evil as any other billion dollar company. Big deal, Google gives out free software. Like how often do I need to use Google Earth? Google has a new cell phone called the Nexus. How come I don't see Google giving it out for free? The phone retails for about $600! Ridiculous! Google is also acquiring other companies just like Microsoft, and they either market the acquired technology as their own or don't even release it. By the way in case no one is aware, Google didn't invent Google Earth. They just bought the company that had created the mapping technology and then slapped their name on it. Let's face it, Google is slowly becoming a monopoly. How many mobile devices have the operating system Android? Android is a Google product. I specifically go out of my way to avoid getting a cell phone or any device with Google products on it. I am sick of Google. If the Internet was gone tomorrow, so would Google. However, we need Microsoft because it is a pc world. I am also getting sick of Facebook but I'll save that for another time.

@toilet poet. First off, hilarious handle. Secondly, I have noticed an influx of spam users as well. You'll notice that I directly address that in my articles - "The Influx of spammers on Twitter." We stress greatly user engagement and customer engagement more specifically. Doing it incorrectly, I agree is extremely annoying to the average user. That's why it is important not to be too invasive as a company.

There will always be spam techniques that come and go, but they are short term solutions, that attempt to address a long term issue that is customer relations. Social media is a way for businesses to not only promote their services, but also connect with their customers at a much deeper level. The good intentions of it are to increase customer relations, the poor side effects are the short lived spammers that attempt to take advantage of this new media. They will die out. Thanks for your comment.
